Acceptable Use & Listing Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Ekhaya Finders exists so that people can find a safe, honest place to stay. This policy applies to every listing, review, message, photo and profile on the platform.

What is not allowed

  • False or fake listings, including properties that do not exist
  • Advertising a property you have no authority to let or sell
  • Fraud, scams or any request for money outside a genuine rental agreement
  • Illegal goods, services or activities
  • Misleading prices, photos, locations or availability
  • Using someone else's photos, identity or business details
  • Impersonating another person, landlord, agent or business
  • Content that infringes another person's rights, including copyright
  • Harassment, hate speech, threats or discriminatory content
  • Spam, duplicate listings or manipulating reviews and ratings
  • Collecting other users' personal information for unrelated purposes
  • Any other unlawful or abusive use of the platform

What we expect from advertisers

  • You have the right to advertise the property or business.
  • Photos are of the actual place and are reasonably recent.
  • The price, deposit, location and availability are accurate.
  • You respond honestly to enquiries and update or pause listings once taken.

Enforcement

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Ekhaya Finders may reject or remove any listing, hide reviews, and suspend or close accounts that breach this policy — with no refund of listing fees where the breach is the reason for removal. Serious cases are reported to the authorities.

Reporting a problem
